Bobby Moon is a vocalist, songwriter, and producer whose career has spanned multiple decades and genres. He first emerged in the Los Angeles music scene during the 1980s as the lead singer of the post-punk band Life After Death. Known for his ability to sing in several languages and for his powerful stage presence, Moon quickly built a cult following that extended beyond the U.S.

In the 1990s, Moon co-founded Spellbound, a Funk- and Latin-infused band that continues to thrive today. With a string of critically acclaimed albums released under their own label, Selfish Recordings, Spellbound has become a staple of the Southern California live music scene and a favorite among fans of global fusion.

In 2020, Moon stepped out on his own with his first full-length solo album, Private Message, showcasing his songwriting, multilingual vocals, and multi-instrumental talents. The album highlighted a more personal side of his artistry, expanding his reach to new audiences.

Born to Korean and American parents, Moon grew up moving across the United States. Feeling like an outsider, he turned to music and poetry as both a refuge and a means of self-expression. As a teenager, he was already writing lyrics for local bands, which led to his enduring collaboration with fellow musician Paul “Pablo” Thomas. Together, the duo has written, produced, and performed for decades, fueling both Life After Death and Spellbound.

Long before K-pop became a global phenomenon, Bobby Moon was bringing a multicultural voice to music. Fluent in English, Korean, and Spanish, he bridges cultures and genres with ease. In addition to his vocals, he plays piano, keyboards, bass, melodica, and various percussion instruments.
